At Newman's, we started with a simple goal: to provide home owners across the valley with expert knowledge, backed by years of experience and technical, high standard training and education. Preston, the founder, created Newman's Chimney & Dryer Vent four years ago, after realizing the need for high-quality Chimney and Dryer Vent Cleaning services that prioritized safety, efficiency, and above all, skill to provide homeowners information and advice that is backed with nationally recognized certifications. What began as a small operation has grown into a trusted local service provider, proudly serving homes across the Phoenix Metro Area.

Expertise and Qualification

With almost a decade of experience, Preston has earned "Certified Chimney Technician" by The Chimney Safety Institute of America and "Certified Gas Hearth Appliance Technician" by The National Fireplace Institute and has become an expert in Chimney, Gas Fireplace, and Dryer Vent servicing. Our team is trained to handle all types of Fireplace and Vent Systems, ensuring we deliver top-notch results for every customer.

Our History

In his early career, Preston spent a decade in the petrochemical industry, becoming well-acquainted with a strict culture of safety. He developed expertise in creating, following, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures and honed a meticulous eye for detail.

Shortly after meeting the woman who would become his wife and deciding to start a family, Preston made a significant career change. What began as a short-term opportunity turned into a lasting role when he accepted a position as an apprentice with an industry-leading chimney company in Richmond, VA.

Over the next several years, Preston received hands-on training from some of the best chimney technicians and master sweeps in the field. He earned multiple certifications and, after relocating to the Phoenix area, noticed a troubling gap in technical knowledge among the chimney sweeps in the region. As one of the few certified chimney technicians in the valley, Preston felt a moral imperative to share his expertise with homeowners throughout the area.

With that passion, Newman's Chimney was born. Our mission remains the same today as it was in the beginning: to empower homeowners with knowledge and advice that serve their best interests—not ours.

When Preston is not busy running Newman's, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two small children and tinkering with projects in his garage. His work is his passion, but he also believes in having a balance and staying connected to the things that bring joy outside of work.
